Holds licenses in both clinical counseling and art therapy. She has more than 20 years of experience in service to trauma survivors, and to adults who are dealing with many types of crises, life problems, despair and "places of stuckness." Lenan is encouraging and non-judgmental, helping clients to pursue the changes they seek and increase their sense of wellness and mindful presence in their lives.
While how we think is a vital part of human experience and of the therapy experience, Lenan believes that how we feel and relate emotionally, how we sense, and how we imagine are invaluable, innate resources for facilitating change and relief from suffering.
"With these resources, in a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship," she says, "difficult life passages that seem too dark and narrow to make it through can expand, become illuminated and better understood, become more navigable, meaningful and rewarding."
