A Licensed Clinical Counselor, Alison’s warm, person-centered approach helps clients learn more about who they are and what they value, and to accept themselves. With self-acceptance, they can tap into their own abilities to heal. Another part of the healing process involves unblocking and improving communication with oneself and with others. “I believe psychological symptoms are signals from our soul telling us something vital is out of balance,” she says. “We don’t get taught how to lay out clearly what’s in our hearts. But once we learn this skill, we find what we want and need in life.”
Her goal is to create a safe and caring relationship for clients to deepen their self-understanding, and eventually, transform suffering into strength. Alison is also trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
