Most of her career and Ph.D. research has focused on how our relationships in life have the potential to offer immense joy and transformation if we can grow and work through the pain. She utilizes an approach with couples and individuals called Emotionally Focused Therapy or EFT. With this therapeutic approach and her guidance, individuals and couples can learn how to successfully express and receive the loving connection they are longing to have. In support of her EFT work, Tricia is a certified EFT therapist and a founding member of the New Mexico Emotionally Focused Therapy Community. She is also a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
She is also a certified HeartMath provider, which is a scientifically based form of emotional meditation that can transform the body’s stress reaction into a healing response by integrating the mind and body through the intuitive wisdom and power of the heart.
